ABOUT US
We are the Scruffy Sisters--Profit and Rory. Our Dad--Lars--rescued us four years ago and took us home to his ranch. We had been found on the street and it was a relief to get away from the busy, noisy shelter and out in the country. Dad was a little worried we might not want to be country bumpkins, but we like it just fine.
We live here year around wiih Grandma--Elisabeth, but Dad--who is a marketing professor at USC in LA --only comes on weekends and during school vacations. It's nice every time he comes back, but sad when he leaves. We hope he retires soon, but he says something about making money for snacks. Still, there has to be some other way of dealing with that.
My aunt--Pernille, her husband--Morten, and their sons Mathias and Thomas live here, too, but in a different house. They have a huge dog called Feather.
She gets to roam free whereas we are penned up. That is hardly fair. Just because we have no respect for cars, like to chase squirrels, rabbits, and deer as far as they will run, and don't come when we are called doesn't mean we can't take care of ourselves.
What makes us experts on photography? We taught Grandma Elisabeth everything she knows. She says that isn't true, but that does not mean you have to believe her. Anyone can see by her pictures she has had exceptional teachers
Just in case you are wondering. Profit is the little black whirlwind in front; Rory is the larger, lighter-colored sister behind her.
I'm Profit. Just because I prefer to stick strictly to my beauty sleep routines does not mean I don't have a need for speed. Grandma calls me a princess on the pea. I don't think that is fair teasing me just because I am sensitive.
I am very agile--light as a feather flying through the wind. Granma insists that if I was willing to follow orders, I could win every agility competition. But who really cares about ribbons if it means giving up autonomy.
I'm Rory--the more easy going and impetuous one. I go with the flow and am no more a stickler for rules than Profit. But I don't let lack of flexibility worry me. I just make my own dictates. I, too, like to sleep,. But it doesn't care about special times.
I like people, and they like me. I am agile, too, but not compared to Profit. Dad says that if I lost a couple of pounds, I might be. But I know he is just joking.
