My mission is to share magic moments with others. One of my favorite ways of doing so is through photography. As a result, I take pictures of everything I find wondrous.
None-the-less, the fiver genres I am most passionate about are action, horses, pets, other animals, and people.
I especially enjoy sharing my experiences with my clients by creating vibrant, animated photos of the horses they love.
I am familiar with most breeds and disciplines and have worked extensively with jumpers, and racehorses as well as horses with all gait distributions. Because of my many years of watching, riding, and training, I am fast on the trigger and able to consistently catch fast action.
Having bred horses for decades, I especially enjoy mares and foals.
Another of the skill sets I have developed is editing--turning my photos into artworks.
It's important to me to listen to my clients and to give them the results they desire.
Whereas I, easily, am able to do traditional horse photography, what makes me your obvious go to person, is my ability to make photos of your horses stand out from the crowd.
After a few years of retirement, I am back in business and am now available for a limited number of on-demand shoots at an introductory price.
Choose your favorite location: beach, trail, show, or your ranch or home. My goal is --while everyone has fun--to satisfy the needs and desires of every client.

There is a $170.00 booking fee for photographing for as long as it takes us--the client and--I to be assured that we have all the shoots he/she needs. Bring up to 5 horses. (You can share the shoot with one or two friends.)
The price includes seven free full resolution downloads of fully edited photos, two 8 by 10 prints, and three greeting cards. You will have plenty of files to choose from and you will be able to order more downloads, prints, greeting cards, and gifts.
Meet me on the beach or at an event when I am already there (contact me to suggest a time). I'll photograph your horses and you can buy downloads, prints, greeting cards, and gifts, but there will be no booking fee.
In the photo grids below, you will find examples of what you can expect from a photo shoot.
It's important for a photographer to be a good listener. To set his ego aside and to view the results from the client's point of view. Every photo shoot needs to be unique--targeted completely towards the clients wishes. In order to do the ultimate job, the photographer needs to be aware of what these are before shooting.
What is the purpose of the shoot? How will the photos be used? What is the story the client wants to tell about his/her business, and his/her animals? What does he/she consider the most special about them?
In today's world all successful photos need to stand out from the fray. None the less different purposes require different styles and points of view. Prints to hang on the wall needs a slightly different style and execution than show and advertising photography.
Whereas wall hanging, gifts, greeting cards, and facebook do well with an artsy taste, show photos and those for advertising are required to be more conventional.
More than one purpose can obviously be covered in one shoot. But it is important to be aware beforehand so that every desired base is covered.
Because each photo shoot is unique, my favorite option is to offer custom packages where the client can receive exactly the services they need.
Get a discount by combining your shoot with those of one or more friends.
Having spent the better part of a life time breeding and training Icelandic Horse, the breed is of course my favorite. But the one thing I enjoy the most about being retired from active breeding is being able to take the time to enjoy all breeds and horse activities. None the less my extensive understanding of horse movement and gaits have given me the capability of being fast on the trigger and easily catching the most intriguing moments.
